The oystercatcher is a very distinctive, stocky bird with an impressive long orange-red bill. Their population is vulnerable if cockle-beds are over exploited.

This collection was commissioned with watercolour artist and nature enthusiast Louise Nisbet. The illustrations feature countryside scenes, native flora and fauna, animals & insects reflecting the conservation work undertaken by the National Trust.
