Mountain hares are a unique and iconic part of the UK's upland landscapes, especially in Scotland. Known for their striking white winter coats, they are perfectly adapted to life in the highlands. However, climate change, habitat loss, and human pressures are putting their populations at risk. Conservation is essential to protect this remarkable species and preserve the biodiversity of our upland ecosystems.

This collection was commissioned with watercolour artist and nature enthusiast Louise Nisbet. The illustrations feature countryside scenes, native flora and fauna, animals & insects reflecting the conservation work undertaken by the National Trust.
